THE SOUL SPEAKS

  • Mar 27, 2021

The energy that you put out into the universe will always come back to you. If you live your life worrying about negative things, chances are you will live a negative life. I heard someone speak of this once.... you can't be focusing on the 'don't,' or the 'won't,' or the 'can't.' You need to focus on what you can do and what you will do. For example, if i tell you NOT to think about a big orange cat, what do you immediately think of? Bet you pictured that big orange cat. As our mind can do that, so can our energy. You only fully start to let go when you stop thinking of things in a negative light.

When you're trying out snowboarding for the first time, tell yourself "I'm gonna make it down this hill" and you'll picture yourself doing it. You're more likely to succeed. But if you think about all of the things that could go wrong and flood your brain with things like "I'm totally gonna bust my ass. There's so many people, I'm definitely going to crash into someone," you're going to be picturing that the entire way down! And guess what, you'll build up all of that nervous energy and be more likely to slip up to those thoughts.

Give yourself a mantra. Whisper all the good that can happen. Picture your life as you'd like it. Speak to yourself with courage and faith. You deserve it.

What is it that makes you look at someone and say “Wow! They must be really confident with themselves.”

What’s the one thing that you feel is the driving factor in self-confidence? I personally believe it’s the combination of self-love and not giving a fuck about what other’s think or say. But how do you get to a point where you can actively say “I love myself?” That’s a question I think a lot of us have. And I’m not too sure that there’s a simple answer. You see, self-love is a major work in progress. Like, I’m talking lifelong progress. Some people have an easier time than others when it comes to this progress. Also, there is no point A and point B. You don’t wake up one day and say “Wow. This is it. I love myself today.” I mean- I guess some people do? But this feeling ebbs and flows. One day you might love yourself a little bit less than you did the day before, and you know what? THAT’S OKAY! Life is all one big balancing act.

The key to self-love is noticing more and more about yourself each day…no, scratch that …each moment. Every waking moment in time you choose your thoughts and actions. Start choosing to learn more about yourself. Start accepting yourself for who you are. At the end of the day, YOU are the one you can rely on. YOU are the one who will always be there for yourself.

Be kind to yourself. Say “thank you” to yourself. Focus your energy on becoming the best version of yourself. Why not? What do you have to lose? What is it that’s holding you back from being nice to yourself? Nothing. That’s what. There. I answered it for you. Now please, for the love of you, be kind to yourself.
